Snap Executive Promotes Brand Engagement Despite Slow User Growth

Snap Inc. Chief Strategy Officer Imran Khan said at a conference that superior audience engagement metrics would drive the social network’s revenue growth, despite slow user growth, reports Bloomberg. He pointed to an advertising campaign by the Oreos that he said raised brand awareness by 64 points and lifted “purchase intent” by 18 points.

Fox Developing ‘Alien’ Multiplayer Virtual Reality Game

The FoxNext division of 21st Century Fox is developing a virtual reality game based on the “Alien” film franchise, which is expected to open to the public before the end of the year, reports The Hollywood Reporter. Plans call for the experience to be set in a 2,000-square-foot room, where four players will use specially-created prop guns with haptic effects, and hand tracking.
