Google is planning to build three underwater cables in 2019 to help expand its cloud business to new regions as it battles rivals Microsoft and Amazon with the first route going between Los Angeles and Chile, CNBC reports. Snapchat Content Execs Talk App Redesign, Push Into Scripted Programming

Snap Vice President of Content Nick Bell and Head of Original Series Sean Mills spoke to members of the television press for the first time on Monday, The Hollywood Reporter reports. In response to questions about Snapchat’s slow embrace of popular content creators, Bell said: “Our philosophy is to have a walled garden. We prefer to double down with a handful of partners in each category.”

Lockheed Martin Exec Hints That SR-72 Might Be Built Already

A Lockheed Martin executive, speaking recently at an aerospace conference, dropped a hint that the company’s hypersonic SR-72 aircraft might have already been built. Bloomberg reports Lockheed Martin Vice President Jack O’Banion said “without the digital transformation, the aircraft you see there (visible on the slide) could not have been made.” A Lockheed spokesperson declined to address O’Banion’s comments.
