Hopscotch Raises $5M In Series B

Los Angeles-based Hopscotch, the developer of a mobile app platform used heavily by colleges, sports teams, live events, and venues, has raised $5M in a Series B funding, the company announced on Wednesday. The funding came from Jackson Capital Management, Pittco Capital Partners, and Jim Armstrong, a venture capitalist at Clearstone Venture Partners and March Capital Partners. The funding also included Mosaik Partners and Albrecka LLC. Alan Garner of Jackson Capital, as well as Jim Armstrong will both join the company's board as part of the funding. Hopscotch, which is led by CEO and President Laurence Sotsky, powers the mobile apps behind a large number of college sports teams. More information »
