As you all know TechZulu is a huge supporter of Startup Weekend, and when we had the chance to be part of the very first Orange County (my home town) Startup Weekend we jumped on board. Other findings in the report included a ranking of patent registrations in green technology, where California held the lead with more than 458 patents between 2007 and 2009, 150 more than second ranking New York, which ahd 307 patents registered.

It was funded in 2006 with about $8M in investments, and we were fortunate to have the benefit of that investment in the development of the intellectual property.
