By the way, back then it was just Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud [EC2] and both ‘Elastic’ and ‘Cloud’ were candidate key terms. I taught a somewhat crazy course about writing and deploying a scalable website in Ruby on Rails and deploying it in EC2.
