What I want to answer with this post (long though it may be) is: Why did Web 2.0 Social Networking in Web 2.0. Facebook had grown stratospherically from 2004-2007 to 100 million users and was everything that MySpace wasn’t. In May 2007 there were fears that Google was becoming a monopoly.

You would think the obvious thing I would tell somebody is, “yes, of course it’s a great idea.&# You’d be surprised. In this particular case I wasn’t convinced it was a good idea from the limited information I had. A high level of confidence in your own ideas and ability to execute. It was 2007.
