IPO Market Surpasses 2008, 2009, According to Report

A new report today released by PwC finds that the market for initial public offerings (IPOs) has jumped significantly in 2010, with volumes exceeding both 2008 and 2009 levels. PwC tallied up 154 IPOs completed this year so far, raising $37.5 billion. IPO market to generate liquidity for their investors.

On Sept 2nd 2009, 11 months later  (the day before my birthday), I got a Fedex from BofA (who acquired Countrywide). Home Sweet Home. This never mattered up until then as the house continued to grow in value way ahead of the neg-am. Unreal! Whew!!

California Tech Exports Down In 2009

California's technology exports fell in 2009, dropping by $8.0 billion from 2008 to 2009, according to a report released this week. as a whole exported $188 billion in high tech goods in 2009, according to the report. Venture Exits Drop in 2009, But See Q4 Uptick

A newly released report by Dow Jones VentureSource today finds that 2009, venture-liquidity was down 34 percent in 2009, to $17.1 billion in exits in 2008. However, Dow Jones found that forty-four percent of 2009's liquidity came in the fourth quarter, when there were 86 acquisition worth a total of $7.3 billion.

eSolar Unveils Lancaster Plant

eSolar announced a solar power deal with Southern California Edison in June of 2008, where it would deploy 245MW of solar in the Antelope Valley by SCE.
