OnTech Shuts Doors

San Diego-based OnTech , a maker of self-heating coffee and other beverages, has gone under, according to the firm's web site. According to OnTech online store, the firm shut down on November 8th. Venturewire first noted the shutdown.

San Diego-based EMN8 , a developer of self-service, restaurant kiosks, said Monday that the firm is in a agreement with IBM, where the two will jointly manufacture, market, and support its products. Southern California Investments On Uptick, Totals $686.5M For Q1

Southern California venture capital investments totaled $686.5M for the quarter, up from both Q4 of last year as well as the comparable Q1 quarter in 2009, according to the latest numbers from PricewaterhouseCoopers and the NVCA. received in the region in Q1 of 2009.
