BridgeCo Upgrades Music Networking Products

El Segundo-based BridgeCo, a developer of embedded semiconductors and software for the home entertainment networking market, said Thursday at CES that it has launched the next generation of its JukeBlox product. The firm said its new, JukeBlox 2.0 platform integrates streaming music applications such as Pandora, Rhapsody, Napster and LastFM, digital music from the Apple iPod, Sirius satellite radio, and DAB, to various home audio systems. The firm also said the upgraded platform lowers system costs by 25% compared with its prior generation, and also support Ethernet, Wi-Fi, DAB radio, and USB2.0 connections. BridgeCo's processors are being incorporated into products from Denon, Pioneer, Nokia, Harmon-kardon, and Philips; the firm most recently raised a round of venture capital from Earlybird Venture Capital in December.
