Vision Esports Snags $38M From Sports Teams, Invests In 3 Esports Companies

Beverly Hills-based Vision Esports has raised $38M in a funding round, and said it invested in 3 Esports companies--Echo Fox, Twin Galaxies and Vision Entertainment. Vision Esports said its funding round was led by Evolution Media (backed by the Creative Artists Agency, CAA) and TPG Growth, and also included a number of organizations and athletes from the professional sports field, including Odell Beckham Jr., the New York Yankees, the St. Louis Cardinals; Kevin Durant & Rich Kleiman of The Durant Company; Shamrock Holdings (the investment arm of the Disney family); Seth Bernstein Capital Management; Simon Tikham (First Access Entertainment), along with others. Vision Esports says it will specifically target and invest in complementary companies spanning the entire esports ecosystem.
