Thrive Market's Founders Create The Alliance For Good With $12.7M

The founders of Los Angeles-based online grocery provider Thrive Market--Gunnar Lovelace, Nick Green and Sasha Siddhartha--announced this morning they have created a new, philanthropic effort called the Alliance for Good, which will provide philanthropic support to social enterprises, advocacy movements and organizations devoted to improving the environment of our world and health of its inhabitants. According to the three, they have funded the Alliance for Good with $12.7M in their own funds, and is also hoping to add other individuals who are willing to put in a minimum of $1M each to assist in the effort. The trio said that the Alliance for Good will operate as a network of "Donor Advised Funds", and is hoping to create a network of individuals around the alliance. They also said that--starting in 2019--they are hoping to have enough donors as part of the alliance to host an annual "Solutions Summit" where their community can come together.
