LightPointe Moves Headquarters, Manufacturing Facility

San Diego-based LightPointe, which manufactures outdoor, point-to-point radios used for wireless backhaul, said it has moved its headquarters and manufacturing facility into a new facility in San Diego. According to the company, the move will consolidate manufacturing of its 60 GHz, 70 GHz, 80 GHz, and 90 GHz point to point radios at the new location. The company did not say how large the new facility is, however, the company said the new facility has an R&D lab which is four times larger than its prior space. LightePointe's radios are used for very high speed, point-to-point connectivity between buildings, helping companies avoid the cost and expense of leased line and fiber. The company also has a big customer in high frequency trading (HFT) firms.
