Sunbit Raises $26 Million

Westwood-based finance tech startup Sunbit Inc. recently closed a $26 million Series B funding round, Socaltech reports. Sunbit received money from Beverly Hills-based technology investor SGVC, now known as Group 11, which has backed the company since its 2015 launch. To date, Sunbit has raised roughly $54 million.

Nasa Considers Lunar Gateway Suppliers

Techcrunch reports NASA is asking private aerospace firms, including Hawthorne-based SpaceX, to propose plans for delivering cargo and undertaking resupply runs to and from a new forthcoming lunar space station called the Lunar Gateway. The Gateway will reportedly be finished by the end of 2022. NASA has requested a draft for proposals and will hear suggestions from SpaceX and Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin alongside other legacy space contractors like Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin.

Survios Takes “Battlewake” Game Multi-Platform

Culver City-based game developer Survios Inc. showed off its “Battlewake” pirate-themed adventure game during an off-site event at E3 this year, and announced its game would be added to the popular home VR systems Oculus Quest and Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc.’s PlayStation VR. VentureBeat reports the game is not yet live; Survios is accepting sign-ups for an early beta access of the title on both VR platforms.
