Elon Musks Sends Tweet Through Starlink

Elon Musk, the founder of Hawthorne-based SpaceX, posted a tweet through Starlink, the growing constellation of satellites SpaceX is launching to provider Internet access around the world. SpaceX is planning to launch as many as 30,000 satellites into low earth orbit to provide its high speed Internet. Those plans--as well as a similar plan from Amazon--would offer up what SpaceX said would be low cost Internet access globally. However, detractors--including the European Space Agency and the International Astronomical Union (IAU)--say that's way too many satellites to launch into orbit, and will both cause navigational hazards as well as obscure the view of the stars.
