Roku Buys Quibi's Content Distribution Rights

Roku confirmed on Friday that it has acquired the global content distribution rights from shows from Quibi, the now defunct mobile streaming provider. Financial terms of the deal were not announced. Roku said it will become the exclusive place to stream Quibi's shows, which it will make available for free on an ad-supported basis in 2021. Those shows include such stars as Idris Elba, Kevin Hart, Liam Hemsworth, Anna Kendrick, Nicole Richie, Chrissy Teigen, and Lena Waithe.
