Transphorm Bolsters Board

Goleta-based gallium nitride semiconductor products developer Transphorm said last week that it has named a new member of its board of directors. The company said it appointed Ms. Kelly Smales to the board of the gallium nitride (GaN) power conversion device maker. Smales previously was CEO of KnuEdge (formerly Intellisis), company in the machine learning hardware and software area. Smales previously also served at Motorola, Advanced Micro Devices, and GLOBALFOUNDRIES.
