Clearlake Capital Buys Perforce Software

Santa Monica-based private equity investor Clearlake Capital said this morning that it has acquired Perforce Software, a developer of version control software. Financial details of the buy were not announced. Perforce was based in Minneapolis, MN, and had previously been owned by another private equity company, Summit Partners. According to Clearlake, Perforce will continue to be led by current CEO Janet Dryer, along with COO Mark Ties. Perforce has over 225 employees, and says it has over 3,000 customers worldwide. Perforce's software is used by software development teams to store and track their source code.
