Report: Grindr's Chinese Parent Accessed Sensitive Data

A report today, from Reuters, says that the Chinese owner of Los Angeles-based gay dating app developer Grind, gave access to its Beijing-based engineers to the data of millions of Americans, despite U.S. orders to keep that data private. According to the report, Grindr's parent company, Beijing Kunlun Tech Co Ltd gave those Chinese engineers access to private messages and HIV status of millions of Americans, and prompted the recent ruling which ordered the firm to sell Grindr as matter of National Security.
