Activision Racks Up Over $500M In Opening Weekend For Call of Duty:WWII

Santa Monica-based Activision reported today that it passed up more than $500M in sell through for the opening weekend of its new title, Call of Duty: WWII. Activision said it sold more than twice as many units in the opening weekend compared with last year's release. The company pointed out those sales exceeded the combined box office openings for Thor: Ragnarok and Wonder Woman combined. Call of Duty: WWII is published by Activision Publishing, and was developed by Sledgehammer Games with support from Raven Software.
