LA Cleantech Incubator Names LA Sustainability Chief As Next CEO

The Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI), the nonprofit which has been working to boost the number of clean technology startups and companies in Los Angeles, said yesterday that it has named Matt Petersen--currently Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) for the City of Los Angeles--as its next President and CEO. According to LACI, Petersen will become head of the incubator in mid-July, replacing founding President and CEO Fred Walti. Walti said earlier this year that he would be stepping down. Peterson was previously CEO of GLobal Green USA, and is on the boards of Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, Global Green USA, and Center for Environmental Health; he also was instrumental in creating the Climate Mayors group, which includes more than 250 mayors supporting the Paris Agreement, the international effort to battle climate change.
