MarkedUp Debuts Windows 8 Analytics Tools

MarkedUp, the latest startup out of Santa Monica-based MuckerLab, said this morning that it has begun offering up analytics for developers of both desktop and mobile applications for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. The startup--led by former Microsoft Developer Evangelist Aaron Stannard--said this morning that it is looking to provide app developers with actionable user insights and behavioral data, which can help them improve their user experience and maximize conversions of users from free to paid. MarkedUp said it's the first provider of sktop analytics, which it said is a 10x larger ecosystem than other, native (and mobile) platforms. The new startup grew out of Stannard's recognition that desktop developers porting iOS and Android apps to Windows 8 could not find anyone providing any kind of analytic tool.
