FreedomPop Launches Free Family Cell Phone Plan

FreedomPop announced on Wednesday that it had launched a pre-paid family plan and free family wireless bundle, according to a press release. The wireless family plan offers unlimited voice calls and texts, plus up to one gigabyte of free data.

Oaktree Sells Stake in tronc Back to Company

Oaktree Capital Management, the third-largest shareholder in Los Angeles Times’ parent tronc Inc., is selling its holdings back to tronc in a $56 million deal, according to documents filed Thursday with the Securities and Exchange Commission, reports the Business Journal. Tronc said it entered a purchase agreement to buy Oaktree’s 3.7 million shares for $15 each.

Jam City Eyes Late 2017 or Early 2018 IPO

Mobile game developer Jam City is eyeing an initial public offering of its stock in late 2017 or early 2018, reports USA Today. The game publisher made $330 million in sales last year and projected revenue to grow to between $425 million and $450 million this year, according to the company’s Chief Executive and Co-Founder Chris DeWolfe.
