Gwyneth Paltrow's e-commerce and lifestyle company, Goop, announced today that it had raised a $10 million Series B funding. The company, which was founded and headquartered in New York City, also announced plans to shift their creative operations to LA, while maintaining a team in New York.
Paltrow also announced plans to expand Goop's product line and hire additional talent.
Goop was originally created in 2008 as a newsletter, focusing on travel and health. Since then, Paltrow moved the company's headquarters out of her kitchen, added a small team of content creators and expanded Goop's focus significantly.
Santa Monica, which has had a pretty good year of its own, will be the reported landing spot for the company, and they are looking for interns for the fall semester at a Santa Monica location.
Goop received a nearly identical Series A funding led by New Enterprise Associates in August 2015. The most recent round was led by NEA, Felix Capital and 14W Venture Partners.
