Faraday Future Cancels Plans For Manufacturing Plant In California

Los Angeles-based Faraday Future, the much-hyped developer of next generation, electric vehicles, has decided to shut down efforts to build a manufacturing plant in Vallejo, California, according to the company. The company said it will now focus on its first production vehicle and plant in North Las Vegas. Work on that plant was halted in November, over issues with payments to construction contractor AECOM; Faraday Future was also recently sued by a visual effects firm over work done for the company's flashy launch at the end of December. Faraday, in a statement, said it "remains interested in acquiring land" in Vallejo in the future. Vallejo is based in the Bay Area.
