BUZZMEDIA Hires Music VP

Los Angeles-based BUZZMEDIA, the pop culture and music blog publisher which runs such sites as Celebuzz, Sterogum, Buzznet, and Idolator, announced today that it has hired Bill Jensen as Vice President/General Manager of Music. The company said the new position is part of an push in the digital music area for the company. Jensen was previously Director of New Media at Village Voice Media, the weekly newspaper chain. As part of the digital music push, BUZZMEDIA also has appointed Kim Persse as Director of Music Content and Industry Relations, and Nicole Cullinane as Executive Producer of Music Programming. Persse was previously at AOl, and Cullinane at MTV Digital. BUZZMEDIA said it now has over 35 brands, and is reaching more than 100 million monthly unique visitors.
