Shamrock Capital Sells RBmedia To KKR

Los Angeles-based private equity investor Shamrock Capital announced on Friday that it has sold one of its portfolio companies, RBmedia, to another private equity company, KKR. Financial details of the deal were not announced. RBmedia is a publisher of audiobooks, and is based in Landover, Maryland. RBmedia's audiobooks are available via smart phones, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Echo, Google Home, and smart watches. Shamrock is an active investor in local technology startups, including Appetize, Maple Media, Wpromote, and others.
