Raken Names New Board Member

San Diego-based Raken, a developer of construction field management software, says it has added a new member to its board of directors. According to the company, Dave Berman, the former President of ZOOM, has joined its board. Berman previously also served at WebEx, RingCentral, and Affectiva. Berman currently is a venture advisor for Spider Capital Partners. Raken is backed by Spider Capital, as well as U.S. Venture Partners, Tao Capital Partners, Eniac Ventures, and Rincon Venture Partners. The company says it now has more than 4,000 clients for its cloud-based mobile software. Raken is led by CEO and founder Kyle Slager, and last raised funding in June of last year.
