Moonshots Capital Leads Investment In Complai, Developer Of Shep

Los Angeles- and Austin-based Moonshots Capital, the new venture investment fund founded by Kelly Perdew and Craig Cummings, is on an investment roll, and has made another investment from its fund. Complai, the company behind the Shep business travel management Chrome extension, said late Thursday afternon that it has raised $1.4M in a seed funding round, which was led by Moonshots Capital, and also included Capital Factory, along with such angels as Kathy Misunas (former CEO, Sabre); Ellen Keszler (former President of Travelocity Business); Jim Finigan (co-founder of SoFi); and Mariano Dimo (ex-CMO, HomeAway and Visa Europe). Shep's Chrome extension allows corporate employees to book using their favorite consumer travel booking sites, but still lets corporate travel managers have visibility into what's going on. As part of the funding, Craig Cummings, co-founder and General Partners of Moonshots Capital, has joined Complai's board. Moonshots Capital has been on a roll, having just announced the lead on two other companies earlier this month. The venture firm has a unique take on investments, with a focus on startups founded by military veterans, in addition to others. More information »
