Twist Bioscience Expands In San Diego

San Francisco-based synthetic DNA developer Twist Bioscience Corporation is in a big expansion, saying it has opened up a new office in Carlsbad. Twist is venture backed by such investors as Biomatics Capital, plus Reinet Fund S.C.A., F.I.S., NFT Investment Limited, KANGMEI Group, Bay City Capital GF Xinde Life Science Investment Fund, 3W Partners Capital and Ditch Plains Capital Management LP. According to Twist, the new office will support sales and marketing, as well as corporate administrative functions, and will also be the headquarters for customer support for the company's new solutions for enhancing next-generation sequencing. The company said it specifically set up its new office in Carlsbad to take advantage of the community's experienced talent pool. The company's new office in Carlsbad is 2,500 square feet, which the company says it expects to fill with new employees.
