SeqOnce Biosciences Finds $1M In Seed Funding

Pasadena-based SeqOnce Biosciences, which is developing next generation sequencing technology, has raised $1M in a seed funding round, according to the company. The funding came from Pasadena-based Mount Wilson Ventures (MWV), a new venture capital investment fund led by longtime Pasadena biotechnology veteran Mike Giardello, Ph.D. According to SeqOnce, it will use the new funding for commercialization of a library construction kit for whole genome next generation sequencing (NGS). Joseph Dunham, Ph.D., is co-founder and Chief Science Officer of SeqOnce; Chris Angermayer is SeqOnce's CEO.
