Techstars Music Names New Class Of Startups In LA

Techstars Music Accelerator, one of the startup accelerators that Techstars operates in Los Angeles, has named the latest startups to become part of its program, saying that it has selected nine startups for the latest program, which runs from February 4th through May 2nd. According to the accelerator, the startups include The Music Fund (streaming music pricing); SuperRes (artificial intelligence classification of music); Inklocker (on-demand manufacturing); Marble AR (augmented reality); Mila (music therapy to treat neuro-developmental disabilities); Rhinobird (interactive video players); EmbodyMe (deep learning software for creating realistic videos); and Signal Distribution (still in stealth mode). Techstars Music Accelerator says that its program is being supported by Warner Music Group, Sony, Concord, Bill Silva Entertainment, Silva Artist Management, RecoChoku, Royalty Exchange, Q Prime Management and others. The accelerator said its 2017 and 2018 classes have so far raised more than $40M in follow on investment, with a combined valuation of more than $300M.
