Dave Linthicum (moderator)

SVP at Cloud Technology Partners

David S. Linthicum, senior vice president at Cloud Technology Partners, is an internationally recognized industry expert and thought leader. Dave has authored 13 books on computing, the latest of which is Cloud Computing and SOA Convergence in Your Enterprise, a Step-by-Step Approach. Dave’s industry experience includes tenures as CTO and CEO of several successful software companies, and upper-level management positions in Fortune 100 companies. He keynotes leading technology conferences on cloud computing, SOA, enterprise application integration, and enterprise architecture.

Alex Kazerani

Chairman & CEO at Edgecast

Alex is a proven web entrepreneur, having led and sold multiple successful startups. Prior to co-founding EdgeCast, he was a co-founder, chairman and CEO of KnowledgeBase, a hosted enterprise knowledge management company with many Fortune 1000 customers. At KnowledgeBase, he worked with EdgeCast co-founders James, Phil and Lior, and as CEO was involved in all aspects of the company and responsible for its development.

Prior to starting KnowledgeBase, Alex founded HostPro, an industry-leading web hosting and application services provider. In August 1999, Micron Electronics (MUEI) acquired HostPro, and Alex became vice president of operations. In this role, Alex was responsible for developing HostPro’s shared, dedicated and managed businesses with 430 employees in sales, marketing, engineering, and product development. Alex was instrumental in helping HostPro grow into one of the largest web hosting companies in the industry, with over 70,000 customers worldwide and operations in Los Angeles; Seattle; Boise, Idaho, and Boca Raton, Florida.

With more than fifteen years of leadership experience in information technology and business operations, Alex has successfully led a number of business initiatives that include developing technology solutions and bringing them to market, designing front and back office operations and managing day-to-day business, sales and support operations. Additionally, he has extensive application development, web hosting, and data center build-out and management experience.

In addition to his leadership position with EdgeCast, Alex is a partner in several venture capital funds, and a board member of numerous companies including Web.com (NASDAQ: WWWW). Alex earned a B.A. degree in international relations and economics from Tufts University. He lives in Los Angeles.

Alistair Farquharson

CTO at SOA Software

Alistair Farquharson is a visionary industry veteran focused on using disruptive technologies to drive business growth and improve efficiency and agility within organizations. As the CTO of SOA Software Alistair is helping to shape and mature the enterprise API and SOA industry. Alistair is responsible for product strategy and development for this leading Enterprise API and SOA Governance company. He spends a great deal of time and energy shaping customer and industry direction with regular conference keynote appearances, discussions with customers, and even the occasional foray into writing code. Alistair has been at the forefront of many technology waves from enterprise web architecture, through web services and SOA, and now into APIs. His expertise spans a wide range of technologies and businesses, and he brings a unique global focus to everything he does. 

Scott Kriz

CEO at Bitium

Scott Kriz is CEO of Bitium, the SaaS Operating System that lets companies centrally manage and control web-based software with features like app provisioning, reporting, single sign on, and authentication integration.

Before co-founding Bitium, Scott was VP of Product for Fastpoint Games, a sports and entertainment gaming company that sold to WePlay in 2012. While at Fastpoint, Scott oversaw the development of over 60 online games for companies like Sony Online Entertainment, Fox, ABC, Sports Illustrated, NBA.com, NASCAR.com and Turner Digital.

Scott also served as Director of Product at ProElite, a CBS backed company, where he managed live streaming events and video on demand targeting Mixed Martial Arts fans. He was CEO at MindEdge, Inc., a founding member of CollegeTownUSA, and worked as a systems engineer at General Electric and Raytheon. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Union College.
