San Diego-based Qualcomm said Wednesday afternoon that it has acquired Wilocity , a developer of 60 Ghz wireless chipsets. According to Qualcomm, it will use the buy to bolster its technology and use of 60 Ghz wireless for the mobile, computing, and networking market. Wilocity develops chipsets for the 802.11ad standard (WiGig).
