THQ, DreamWorks Animation In Licensing Deals

Agoura Hills-baed THQ has inked a number of new licensing deals with Dreamworks Animation SKG, the firms announced this morning. According tothe two firms, they are in multi-year, multi-property licensing agreements giving THQ exclusive worldwide rights to develop video games based on DreamWorks' Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom; Puss in Boots; and the TV show The Penguins of Madagascar. Financial details of the license deal were not disclosed. THQ said it will develop interactive games based on the titles on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation, Nintendo Wii, and wireless devices. The first game due from the deal will be Kung Fu Panda: the Kaboom of Doom in June of 2011.
