Tim is the former head of Yahoo's Global Advertising Marketplaces unit, overseeing Display, Search and Video, and was VP of Search at Overture. They can sell those ads on a CPM, CPC, or CPA basis. Yahoo made the decision that they could not, or would not be able to make the level of investment required to keep up with Google.
