And I hope you are not running on Cake PHP when you see these numbers. In looking at these numbers, seeing Cake PHP at 500x slower, Ruby-Rails and Django at 50x slower really surprised me. Important Implications Well I'm currently working with startup founders on their systems in JRuby, Django, PHP and Java.

We had an interesting presentation at the LA CTO Forum by the CTO of a startup who chose Groovy / Grails as the framework for their startup. t prompted a good discussion around how CTOs go about choosing the programming language and framework for their startup. So what's the bottom line? This is a complex decision.
