MaxLinear In Design Win With STMicroelectronics

Carlsbad-based radio frequency semiconductor developer MaxLinear said Thursday that its products have been designed into a reference design from STMIcroelectronics. MaxLinear said it was chosen to be incorporate into a DVB-T2 set-top box design, aimed at the emerging free-to-air and hybrid terrestrial STB markets in Europe and Southeast Asia. DVB-T2 is a technology being used in Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe to deploy digital television, as those countries switch off their analog television bandwidth.
