Ready Set Food Finds $2.2M In Pre-Seed Round

Los Angeles-based Ready Set Food, a startup developing a system which introduces babies to peanut, egg, and milk--potential allergens--has raised $2.2M in a funding round, according to the company. The funding came from Amplify.LA, Wavemaker 360, PLG Ventures, Adam Miller, David Rogier, the Pasadena Angels, and John Burry. According to the startup, the new funding will help it advance its mission to save 200,000 children from developing a food allergy. Ready Set Food is led by co-founder and CEO Daniel Zakowski. Ready Set Food provides special "food sticks" which introduce babies to peanut, eggs, and milk on a subscription basis; those are added to a baby's bottle according to a special schedule provided by the company.
