Snap Shuffles Execs

Venice-based social media app developer Snap said late Monday that it has named a new Chief Financial Officer and Chief People Officer, in a shuffling of its executive staff. According to Snap, it has named Derek Andersen, the company's current Vice President of Finance, to the post of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and also named Lara Sweet, currently interim CFO, as its Chief People Officer. Snap said Andersen will take over Sweet's responsibilities, as Sweet shifts to focus on its global talent acquisition and management strategies and processes, human resource functions and "overall team experience". Sweet will continue to serve as Chief Accounting Officer until a replacement is named. Anderson has been at Snap since July of 2018, and previously served at Amazon.com and Fox Interactive Media. Sweet was previously Controller and Chief Accounting Officer at AOL, in addition to holding positions at Freddie Mac and Marriott International.
