Synthetic Biology and Nanostructures Workshop. Clean Technology Council. Keynote Speaker: Ashwin Gopinath, Ph.D, Senior Research Fellow, California Institute of Technology. Learn how DNA sized molecules are building next gen devices. Every biological structure, from bacteria to giant sequoia trees, are formed by molecules and atoms that self-assemble and grow into larger complex structures. His work bridges nanofabrication, optical physics and synthetic biology. He develops nanofabrication methods to build electronic microchips, optical devices, and biological devices. He also works with self-assembled nanostructures, carbon nanotubes, quantum dots, proteins and tools that study individual biomolecules. Sponsored by Clean Technology Council.
