Zumbox Partners With GovDelivery

Westlake Village-based Zumbox, the startup developing an online mail delivery service based on street addresses, said today that it has partnered with GovDelivery, a provider of a communications platform for goverment-to-citizen communications. According to the two, they are in a partnership which will allow GovDelivery clients to electronically send postal mail to a specific address, without sending paper mail. Financial details of the deal between the firm was not announced. The two said they will offer Zumbox's digital postal mail service free of charge to government clients, who start using the service this year. Zumbox offers up a digital version of a postal mailbox, allowing senders to target delivery of mail via postal address; users who are aware of that digital postal mailbox can create an account to retrieve those digital mailbox images and files. Zumbox is backed by angels.
