Quarterly Gets Funding From Science

Los Angeles-based subscription box service Quarterly, which develops unique gift boxes every three months from such influencers as Pharrell Williams, Bill Nye the Science Guy, and actress Rosario Dawson, has raised a round of funding and connected with Los Angeles-based Science Inc.. Size of the investment was not disclosed. The two said they will also partner to leverage Science's growth engine and business strategy expertise, as well as tap into Science's network of influencers. Quarterly is led by Zach Frechette. Science has extensive experience in the subscription area, with other, subscription-based businesses like Dollar Shave Club, and influencer businesses like HelloSociety.
