Kofax Buys Division From Nuance

Irvine-based Kofax, which develops document imaging software and systems, has acquired the Document Imaging division of Nuance. Kofax paid $400M in cash for the division. Nuance said the sale of the division will help it focus on its conversational AI and cloud-related technologies; Kofax said the deal will help it bolster its "Intelligent Automation" technologies.
