Cubic Deploys Satellite Communications Systems For Hurricane Michael Recovery

San Diego-based defense contractor Cubic Corporation said this morning that it has deployed its satellite communications and networking systems in support of hurricane disaster recovery efforts. According to Cubic, it has been working with the United States Army's Transportable Tactical Command Communications (T2C2) project office to deploy its GATR satellite communication (SATCOM) and networking systems in Panama City, Lynn Haven, and Youngstown, Florida--some of the cities which were hit the hardest by Hurricane michael. Cubic said its systems--which feature inflatable satellite antennas--are being used for internet connectivity for first responders. Cubic Corporation says its satellite communications systems are usually used by the U.S. Army to support "expeditionary communications".
