Ashton Kutcher's Sound Ventures Seeks $150M Third Fund

Los Angeles-based Sound Ventures, the venture capital fund run by Ashton Kutcher and Guy Oseary, is looking to raise a third fund, worth $150M, according to a regulatory filing by the company. According to the filing, the fund's managing directors are Effie Epstein, Ashton Kutcher, and Guy Oseary, and so far has no limited partners signed up for the new fund. Sound Ventures has backed such companies as Bird, LearnLux, Acords, Zenefits, Moovit, and others. Sound Ventures had filed paperwork for a $150M second fund back in 2018. Ashton Kutcher is best known as an actor, but has been an active angel investors in startups for a number of years; Guy Oseary is best known as the manager of Madonna, U2, and other musicians.
