Brain To Roll Out Autonomous Robots At Walmart

San Diego-based robotics and artificial intelligence software developer Brain Corp. said on Monday that Walmart Stores will be rolling out a fleet of robots, powered by its software, starting in early 2019. According to Brain Corp., the 360 Robots will be used to automate Walmart's fleet of floor scrubbers across the United States, so that those scrubbers can automatically clean and scrubs floors at its stores. Brain said Walmart expects to have 360 of the automated machines running its its store by the end of January, 2019. Financial impact of the deal were not announced. Brain develops computer vision and artificial intelligence software, specifically aimed at navigation.
