HyperX Ships New Gaming Keyboard

Fountain Valley-based HyperX has shipped a new keyboard, aimed at the computer gaming market, called the HyperX ALLOY FPS Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. According to HyperX, which is a part of Kingston Technology, the keyboard features red LED backlighting, ability to disable the Windows key, a USB charging port, and many other features specifically for gamers.

Platinum Equity Sells Mactac Americas

Los Angeles-based private equity investor Platinum Equity said this morning that it has sold Mactac Americas LLC , a manufacturer and distributor of pressure sensitive labels, to LINTEC Corporation , in a deal worth approximately $375M. Platinum Equity acquired Mactac in November of 2014, from Bemis Company. The sale is the second by Platinum Equity from that acquisition; it also sold the European business of Mactac to Avery Dennison in August.

FDA: Keytruda Now OK For Some Patients With Untreated Lung Cancer

The FDA has approved the use of pembrolizumab (Keytruda) for some previously untreated patients with a certain type of lung cancer, the drug’s owner Merck (NYSE: MRK ) announced late Monday.
