Report: Elon Musk Highest Paid CEO In California

Elon Musk, the technology mogul behind such Los Angeles technology firms as SpaceX and Boring Company, is officially the highest paid CEO in California, according to a report issued late last week. The report--which only considered Musk's pay as head of Tesla Motors--said Musk was paid $2.28 billion, which included salary, bonus, stock awards, stock option awards, deferred compensation and other benefits. The data came from the Associated Press and Equilar, an executive data firm. The survey only included publicly traded companies with more than $1 billion in revenue.
