J2 Global Buys Four Companies In Q3 2019

Los Angeles-based Internet information and services giant J2 Global--the relatively unknown owner of such sites as Mashable, IGN, PCMag, and Everyday Health--has acquired four more companies, the company announced this morning. According to J2 GLobal it has acquired the equity and assets of BabyCenter, has acquired certain assets of OffSiteDataSync, certain assets of SaferVPN, and acquired the equity of Spiceworks. Financial terms of those acquisition were not announced. J2 Global said that the financial impact of the acquisition to the company is "not expected to be material". J2 Global is an extremely active acquirer of companies--perhaps, the most acquisitive company in both the Internet services and Internet content. Those acquisitions have mostly been smaller companies, which are rolled into J2 Global's very large, existing base of companies.
