HyperX Ships Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Fountain Valley-based HyperX has rolled out a new, mechanical keyboard for the computer gaming market, saying this morning that it has shipped the HyperX Alloys Origins gaming keyboard to market. According to HyperX, the new device uses its own keyboard switch the "linear HyperX Red" mechanical switch, which it says has an 80 million click rating. Videogame players are a big fan of mechanical keyboards, which are better than the typical "membrane switches" used in consumer keyboard because of tactile feedback and better precision. HyperX says its mechanical keyboard, the HyperX Alloy Origins, sells for a $109.99 MSRP.
